This is a rare opportunity to join one of London's most prestigious and successful girls' schools, supporting an inspirational and highly respected Headmistress at the heart of a thriving organisation.Location: Central LondonHours: 8:30am – 4:30pm (Monday - Friday)Contract: Temporary (Mid-August – December/January)Working alongside an established EA, you will provide first-class support to a dynamic Head whose role demands exceptional organisation, discretion, and agility. No two days are the same in this busy and rewarding position, where you'll be at the centre of school life, liaising with influential stakeholders and helping to ensure the smooth running of a world-class educational institution.Key responsibilities include:
Extensive diary management, scheduling appointments, coordinating meetings, and proactively forward-planning to avoid conflictsActing as a trusted gatekeeper, managing the Head's time and ensuring she is where she needs to be, when she needs to be thereCoordinating travel arrangements and logisticsWelcoming visitors to the Head's office and organising meeting hospitalityBuilding relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including the Senior Leadership Team, senior figures within the City of London Corporation, Town Clerks, governors, alumni, and high-profile supportersOrganising and supporting events including fundraising initiatives, speaking engagements, dinners, Speech Day, Open Days, and other key school functionsAttending senior management meetings and producing accurate minutesCompiling reports, assisting with budgets, and providing broader administrative supportAbout YouWe're looking for a polished, confident, and highly capable EA who can effortlessly juggle competing priorities while remaining calm under pressure.You will have:A strong academic background, ideally educated to degree level (2:1 or above preferred)Previous Executive Assistant experience, ideally gained within a corporate, professional services, or educational environmentExceptional organisational and time-management skillsThe confidence to manage upwards and support a demanding scheduleOutstanding communication and relationship-building abilities, with the credibility to engage at all levelsA proactive, solutions-focused mindset and a genuine "nothing is too much trouble" attitudeThe ability to remain composed, professional, and discreet at all timesStrong IT skills and confidence using a range of systems and softwareFlexibility to support occasional evening and weekend commitments when requiredA collaborative approach and the ability to work seamlessly alongside a fellow EAIf you're a dynamic, polished EA looking for a challenging and rewarding temporary assignment, we'd love to hear from you.
