Introduction This role is for an experienced and motivated clinician ready to lead, mentor, and provide advanced clinical support across headspace Tamworth and its outposts in Gunnedah, Narrabri, and Moree. You’ll support clinical escalation processes, ensure high-quality service delivery, and mentor a growing team of mental health professionals. Description What You’ll Do Lead with Confidence Be the trusted point of contact for clinical escalation, supporting your team through complex and challenging presentations. Provide clear clinical guidance, oversight, and decision-making support. Mentor, Support & Inspire Deliver clinical supervision, coaching, and reflective debriefing. Foster a positive team culture while supporting and welcoming new staff members. Coordinate & Collaborate Oversee Outpost coordination to ensure smooth, responsive service delivery. Work closely with colleagues to strengthen integrated, client-centred care. Develop the Workforce Support new graduates and students within the Early Career Program through supervision, mentoring, and skill development. Deliver Meaningful Care Provide therapy, facilitate groups, maintain high-quality documentation, and collaborate with the broader multidisciplinary team. Skills And Experiences Bring Your Expertise. Lead with Purpose. Essential Criteria We’re looking for a confident clinician and natural leader who brings: • Formal qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Mental Health Nursing • Current professional registration with AHPRA or AASW • Minimum 2 years’ experience in youth mental health, including leadership, supervision, or mentoring • Solid knowledge of the National Standards for Mental Health Services • Strong clinical risk assessment and escalation capabilities • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team • Experience delivering evidence-based individual and group interventions • A sound understanding of youth mental health and therapeutic approaches Other Role Requirements • Confidence using Microsoft Office and willingness to learn clinical software systems • Valid NSW Driver Licence and readiness to travel to outpost sites • Ability to meet required Police Checks and Working With Children Checks (WWCC) The Next Step – Apply Now Ready to step into a role where your expertise, leadership, and compassion truly matter?
