We are currently recruiting for Communication Operators to become a vital part of a fast-paced, professional team delivering front-line service to the public. You’ll play a crucial role in resolving enquiries at first point of contact and supporting emergency response operations through intelligent decision-making and resource deployment. Key Responsibilities Deliver professional, effective, and efficient customer service with a focus on “getting it right first time.” Resolve public queries using a range of systems in a pressurised environment. Accurately receive, analyse, and record information using multiple force systems. Recommend deployment strategies and direct police units based on real-time information. Provide advice, manage expectations, and take appropriate action on a wide range of enquiries. Interrogate and evaluate information to assess risks and support decision-making. Liaise with emergency services and external agencies (e.g. Highways, utilities, recovery services). Maintain and update detailed records of incidents and deployments. Coordinate and schedule appointments or follow-up tasks. Support clerical and administrative duties as required. Actively contribute to multi-agency responses and special operations when needed. What Our Client is Looking For Candidates must demonstrate the following: Qualifications : NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Communication, Business, or Customer Service – or relevant experience. Typing Speed : 25–30 words per minute. Welsh Speaking: - Level 3 IT Skills : Intermediate level with Windows-based systems. Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Teamwork : Ability to work collaboratively or independently as needed. Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and decision-making abilities. Resilience : Ability to stay calm and focused in stressful, high-pressure situations. Local Knowledge : Good geographical awareness of North Wales. Additional Requirements Flexibility to work rotating shifts with potential short-notice changes. Willingness to work elsewhere within Operational Support Services during major incidents or special events.
