Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and personable Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your hospitality skills within a lively environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. This position is paid and suitable for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced, social setting.
Responsibilities
* Serve drinks and food efficiently and courteously to customers at the bar and tables
* Take orders accurately and handle cash or card payments using the POS system
* Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including wiping down surfaces and restocking supplies.
* Assist in setting up and closing down the bar area before and after service
* Engage with customers to create a friendly and welcoming environment
* Manage multiple tasks effectively, demonstrating excellent time management skills during busy periods
* Support team members as needed to ensure smooth operation of the venue
Qualifications
* Previous experience in hospitality, especially in a bar or restaurant environment, is preferred but not essential
* Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is desirable
* Strong serving skills with an emphasis on customer service excellence
* Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
* Good organisational skills and ability to manage time effectively during busy hours
* Friendly, approachable manner with excellent communication skills
* Ability to work well under pressure in a lively environment
* A valid or equivalent identification for employment verification
