Job overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant to join our team within the Logistics section of Pharmacy. The post will be mainly based at the Pharmacy Department at Doncaster Royal Infirmary, with potential work at the Pharmacy Department on the Bassetlaw Hospital site. Both departments are fully automated.
Qualifications: GCSEs in Science, English Language and Maths at Grade C or above (certificates required prior to interview). Pharmacy experience is desirable but not essential as full training is provided. Applications from candidates with BTEC Level 2 / NVQ Level 2 Pharmaceutical Science (or equivalent) are also eligible to apply; certificates must be provided prior to interview and they must meet GCSE requirements. International candidates must hold a Statement of Comparability and provide it prior to interview. This position does not support sponsorship.
Working pattern: 7.5 hours per day on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 8:30am to 5pm with a 1-hour unpaid break. Bank Holiday working is on a rota basis and is a full day of 7.5 hours.

Main duties of the job
You will be involved in:
* The supply of stock medicines to wards and departments at Doncaster Royal Infirmary, Bassetlaw Hospital and Montagu Hospital
* Topping up stock medicines at ward/department level
* Releasing orders from the automated Pharmacy robot and assisting with loading the robot
* Delivery of medicines to wards
* Wholesale supply of medicines to our customers, including the Outpatient Pharmacy at Doncaster Royal Infirmary
* Storekeeping duties, including receiving goods from pharmaceutical wholesalers and suppliers, performing checks and entering them onto the Pharmacy computer system
* Participation in the Bank Holiday rota
* Cross-site cover for Bassetlaw Pharmacy
The Necessary Requirements
* GCSEs in Maths, English Language and Science at grade A-C (or equivalent); certificates to be provided at interview
* Basic keyboard skills
* Manual handling and use of a pallet truck; good physical fitness required
