BBI exists to help our customers create advances that improve health and save lives. We are seeking a QC Scientist to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time position based at our site in Crumlin. Join our team: advancing health, together.
The Role
The QC Scientist reports into a QC Team Leader and performs incoming, in-process and final quality control testing across the BBI product range. The QC Scientist will ensure that all QC tests/activities under job description are carried out on time and in line with set specifications, customer requirements, global/site procedures, industry standards and regulations as required.
In this role your responsibilities will include:
1. Carry out incoming, in-process and final testing to support manufacturing and R&D activities using calibrated equipment and in accordance with QC Procedures.
2. Ensure all documentation is completed with a “right first time” attitude and following ALCOA principles
3. Raise any out of specification, out of trend results and any quality issues to your line manager in a timely manner.
4. Record and investigate out of specification and out of trend results.
5. Manage stability trials and perform testing at scheduled intervals, generate stability reports and maintain stability spreadsheets.
6. Manage QC inventory.
7. Carry out quality monitoring events for the wider company.
8. Initiate and complete required changes to QC documentation in accordance with change control procedures.
9. Support new product development and product redevelopment.

14. Laboratory experience, report writing experience and be proficient in Microsoft applications.
15. Potentially have relevant experience within the medical devices and pharmaceutical industry. Ideally will be familiar with FDA, GMP, and ISO13485 requirements.
