If you're confident in teaching Biology, Chemistry, or Physics and familiar with the Northern Ireland curriculum, this could be the role for you
Responsibilities
* Provide one-to-one or small group lessons in Science subjects (KS3–GCSE, with potential A-Level support).
* Create engaging, tailored lesson plans to boost understanding and confidence.
* Monitor each student's progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
* Keep parents and guardians informed about student development.
Requirements
Essential:
* Degree in Science or a related field (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Education, etc.).
* Minimum of 1 year's experience teaching/tutoring post-primary Science.
* Strong knowledge of the NI Science curriculum.
* Ability to simplify complex scientific ideas.
* Dependable, approachable, patient, and professional.
Desirable:
* Teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE).
* Experience supporting learners with additional educational needs.
Role Details
* Pay: £20–£30/hour (depending on lesson type and level).
* Hours: 4–25 per week.
* Schedule: Flexible (weekdays and weekends available).
* Type: Self-employed.
* Other requirements: Right to work in NI, UK bank account, and enhanced AccessNI check (or willingness to obtain).
