Management Accountant | Banking | London Your new company A UK-based financial institution that operates across retail, commercial, and investment banking sectors. Your new role The client is seeking a Management Accountant to join the team on a rolling basis (minimum 3 months). Key responsibilities include: Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and financial reports to support strategic decision-making across banking operations. Assist in the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and commercial objectives. Monitor departmental and operational costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within banking services. Support internal and external audits. Collaborate with finance teams, business units, and senior management to provide financial insights and support performance reviews. Assist in identifying financial risks and implementing controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity. Contribute to the development and enhancement of financial systems and reporting tools, driving automation and accuracy. Provide financial input into strategic projects, including product launches, system upgrades, and regulatory changes. What you'll need to succeed Part-qualified ACCA or CIMA, with proven experience working in a banking environment Knowledge and understanding of Financial Services/banking processes. Strong numeracy skills and understanding of financial statements Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Experience in Financial Change would be advantageous.
