About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Learning Support Assistant to join a caring, forward-thinking SEND setting in North Tyneside. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that supports pupils with diverse needs, helping them achieve their academic, social, and emotional goals in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Work with the class teacher to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated activities
* Provide tailored support for pupils with communication or sensory needs
* Encourage independence and wellbeing through positive reinforcement and structured routines
* Assist with personal care and mobility, ensuring a safe, inclusive environment
* Track progress and contribute to pupil support plans
Person Specification
* Experience supporting children with SEND or additional needs preferred
* Calm, compassionate, and flexible approach
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Proactive, reliable, and committed to pupil success
* DBS clearance or willingness to obtain required

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
