The Opportunity
This position in the Core Laboratory Division, our diagnostic solutions are used in hospitals, laboratories and clinics around the globe. The crucial information derived from our tests, instruments and informatics systems are often the first step in patient care decision making for hundreds of health conditions from heart attacks to blood disorders to infectious diseases and cancers.
As the Informatics Support Specialist, you will be the first-line support to provide hands-on resource to deliver complex configuration, integration, customer, and internal training mainly focused on troubleshooting services for AlinIQ products.
What You’ll Do
1. Identify customer needs, propose solutions, manage, and resolve complex problems
2. Provide feature/ product enhancement input based on customer feedback
3. Maintain and assume accountability for a culture of high customer service
4. Provide comprehensive support for entire informatics solution.
5. Perform software-related installation and configuration processes.
6. Deliver structured software application product training to the end user.
7. Support post-sales informatics activities and provide expert knowledge.
8. Serves as level 1 complaint resolution via call centre phone support function
Required Qualifications
9. Bachelors or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Medical or Hospital Informatics or related disciplines or relevant experience installing, configuring and/ or maintaining diagnostics laboratory informatics applications.
Required Experience
10. Sound understanding of diagnostics laboratory workflows and related technologies
11. Demonstrated understanding of one or more products such as laboratory information systems, middleware and/or analyser management systems, or inventory management systems used in diagnostics laboratories
12. Hands on experience implementing, configuring, training and supporting one or more laboratory information systems mentioned above is highly desirable
13. Able to execute assigned tasks satisfactorily with a high degree of commitment and quality, independently
14. Technical proficiency with general business applications such as MS Office, MS Project
15. Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent customer facing capabilities
16. Attention to detail and a concern for quality; action oriented for solving problems
17. Able to improve and willing to bring ideas forward, mitigate/ resolve escalated issues
18. Customer focused have interpersonal skills
19. Team players have awareness/experience of the business
