Description Wood is recruiting a core Materials Controller/Deck Crew for a Harbour asset on a 2*2*2*4 rotation. This role mobilises from Aberdeen. Responsibilities Process Ownership: Proactively support compliance with Wood Life Saving Rules. Reinforce the core values to deliver safety as top priority. Take responsibility for the control of materials as delegated by the Line Supervisor. Read, understand and implement all applicable company / project policies, working practices and procedures, ensuring that discipline activities are completed safely and to a high standard at all times. To contribute discipline experience to the ongoing development of project work methods and processes. Ensure all certificates relevant to the discipline role are in date. Receive and action material requisitions in accordance with Supervisor’s instructions. Receipt and issue stores items, maintain properly documented store records and carry out inventory of company plant and equipment as per company requirements/procedures. Check on materials received to verify accuracy of delivery notes and advise discrepancies so that appropriate adjustments can be made. Arrange for return of repairable/scrap surplus equipment/material and ensure that relevant documentation and packaging is completed comprehensively and accurately. Initiate Material Requisitions (MR) to maintain proper level of inventory of all materials, including but not limited to the following – consumables, plant and equipment and construction material as required. Locate all issue items on the platform and notifies appropriate supervision of their arrival and location, ensures correct identification/documentation of such items. Assist with offloading of containers to appropriate storage areas. Responsible for good housekeeping conditions in all areas associated with material storage/issue. Attend safety committee meetings and demonstrate safety awareness in the performance of normal work function. Responsible for the control issue & return of all small tools, plant and equipment and ensuring their certification is valid. Subject Matter Expertise: Perform all required discipline tasks safely, consistently and in accordance with project requirements, standards, procedures and specifications. Participate and carry out tool box talks as required. Tool box talks are to be interactive between the deliverer and all recipients, covering the current scope of work, corresponding permits and control of work documents. Responsible for reporting any accidents and incidents immediately to the Line Supervisor. Responsible for stopping the job and seeking advice from the appropriate person should they have any concerns with a task they are conducting. Awareness of physical condition of plant and equipment to ensure technical integrity is maintained. Awareness of risks associated with the scope. Awareness of personal safety and that of others. Support team performance and development by sharing knowledge and best practices. Report any defect / inspection reports to Line Supervisors in a clear and concise manner. Support overall delivery of company goals and schedule. General: Provide support to other trades / disciplines where required, and form part of an integrated multi-discipline team. Demonstrate a professional and positive attitude / behaviours. Execute assigned personal objectives and tasks. Develop team working attitudes. Participate in company and local safety initiatives.
