Our client, a major UK retail bank, provides every day banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking.
On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Senior CDD Analyst for a 6 month contract based in Manchester or Crawley, 1 day per week on site.
Purpose of the Role:
This is a hybrid role combining analytical rigour with project coordination skills. You'll take ownership of a portfolio of client entities undergoing CDD remediation, ensuring each case progresses smoothly, efficiently, and in line with regulatory expectations.
You'll work closely with stakeholders across the business-Operations, Compliance, and the Front Office-acting as a central point of contact and ensuring consistent, high-quality communication and delivery. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in data-driven operations or KYC/CDD, who is ready to step up into a more senior analyst/project-focused position.
As a Senior CDD Analyst you will be responsible for:
* Supporting a portfolio of client files by helping move each case through the CDD process, keeping records up to date and highlighting any delays or missing information.
* Tracking progress and maintaining case status using internal tools and Excel trackers, making sure files are moving through the right steps and deadlines are met.
* Liaising with internal teams such as Compliance, Operations, and Front Office to request information, chase updates, and help ensure cases are completed accurately.
* Preparing and updating summary reports to show how many files are in progress, completed, or overdue. Escalate any recurring issues or bottlenecks to senior team members.
* Supporting client communication by checking outbound emails or document requests for completeness and accuracy before they are sent (note: this is a potential client-facing role).
* Working with data in Excel to clean, sort, and analyse client and workflow data. Help maintain spreadsheets or trackers used by the wider CDD team.
* Contributing to team improvements by flagging ideas to improve how work is tracked or shared, or by supporting small updates to templates or workflows.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Strong working knowledge of CDD/KYC processes, ideally within a regulated financial services environment.
* Experience managing workflows or work-in-progress across multiple stakeholders.
* Excellent Excel skills - including pivot tables, lookups, conditional logic, and a working knowledge of Power Query or VBA.
* Highly organised, with the ability to track multiple cases and prioritise under pressure.
* Clear communicator, both written and verbal - confident engaging with internal teams and presenting updates.
Desirable
* Exposure to AML regulations and compliance frameworks.
* Familiarity with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or other dashboarding platforms.
* Experience working within large-scale remediation programmes or client onboarding projects.
