Adecco is pleased to be recruiting for a Trainer to join Dorset Police. You would be based at their HQ in Winfrith.
This post is office-based, working office hours, Monday - Friday, 37 hours per week. The pay rate is £17.24 per hour.
Based at Winfrith, however, you may need to have the flexibility to travel to their premises in Ferndown. Please note, this post is temporary until March 2026.
The purpose of the role:
* To design and deliver training and development interventions to ensure that the knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes, and behaviour of police officers, staff, and other members of the force meet the requirements of the force and priorities.
* This role will focus on the delivery of initial and a range of force training programmes across defined geographic areas, as well as specific/targeted training for groups of staff. Posts are based in specified geographic areas across Dorset, Devon, and Cornwall.
Responsibilities:
* The main responsibilities include coordinating, preparing annual training schedules, designing, developing, and delivering training and development across various packages. This may include initial and force training.
* All training posts are generic in nature, and there may be a requirement to deliver training packages as a facilitator/lecturer in other areas as needed.
* Design and deliver training packages for on and off-the-job training, including written materials, classroom sessions, and learning exercises, utilizing all available technology and adopting innovative methods where appropriate.
* Identify individual training needs and assess the skills and abilities of trainees against relevant standards. Meet with line management and senior staff to discuss training needs of individuals, departments, and divisions.
Please note, due to police criteria, you must have lived in the UK for at least the last 5 years continuously. Less than this will not be considered.
