Purpose
Establish and lead a Data Management Support Office framework to drive quality, consistency, and efficiencies across a DM FSP model at IQVIA. Perform and oversee data management activities to provide high-quality data meeting client/project needs, ensuring data processing and tracking align with regulatory and quality standards.
Responsibilities
1. Liaise with customer counterparts and internal leadership to understand business requirements and develop plans to meet these needs.
2. Support Data Management Support Office leads in areas such as onboarding, training, process improvement, demand and capacity management, quality assurance, and KPI reporting.
3. Provide strategic direction in data management and consolidate resource requirements to meet project objectives efficiently.
4. Monitor and manage staff utilization, productivity, and performance; define staffing needs based on workload and strategic plans.
5. Implement department objectives aligned with broader regional goals, providing technical advice and improving operational efficiency.
6. Oversee quality and efficiency across projects, sharing learnings and identifying improvement opportunities.
7. Participate in defining strategies for new processes and technologies; ensure staff training and compliance.
8. Collaborate with peers to develop training strategies and mentor staff in data management and drug development.
9. Manage relationships with customer peers, contribute to proposals, and lead project discussions and strategic planning.
10. Ensure project milestones are met with high quality; may serve as a customer liaison for data management.
11. Handle HR responsibilities including performance appraisals, professional development, and employee relations.
12. Manage a Data Management Department, overseeing staff and operations.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Advanced knowledge of data management processes, systems, and new technologies.
* Understanding of clinical drug development and DM deliverables.
* Strategic leadership, business acumen, and financial management skills.
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects and lead teams effectively.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to delegate and monitor quality.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in clinical, biological, mathematical sciences, or related field, or nursing, with 12+ years of relevant experience including management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements
* Extensive use of communication devices and keyboard.
* Regular sitting for extended periods.
