Our client is currently seeking a Senior Surveyor to join their Disabled Facilities Grants (DFGs) Team on a contract basis. This role plays a crucial part in delivering essential services to residents and offers flexibility, making it ideal for professionals with a strong background in housing adaptations and local authority work. Key Responsibilities: Conducting home visits to assess and survey properties Preparing technical schedules of work, specifications, and scaled drawings using AutoCAD Developing tender packages and obtaining quotations from approved contractors Coordinating and submitting applications for planning permission, building regulations, and party wall agreements where applicable Job Requirements: Proven experience delivering DFGs Proficiency in AutoCAD and technical drawing preparation Strong understanding of planning and building regulations Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision Previous experience working within a local authority setting is highly desirable Workload & Flexibility: 5-10 surveys per month Site visits are required, but the remainder of the work can be completed remotely Flexible working pattern available You could look to complete your site visits over a couple of days then work remotely for the remainder of the month If you are an experienced Senior Surveyor looking for a flexible and impactful role, we would love to hear from you.
