The Emergency Department is looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team of reception and administration staff on a full-time basis.
You will provide comprehensive administration support for the Emergency Department, which supplies emergency care 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. The successful candidate will be expected to work a mixture of days, nights, and twilight shifts on a rota basis.
Responsibilities include:
1. Accurately recording all related data for new and follow-up attendances on HIVE, updating patient details where necessary.
2. Liaising with personnel from North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) or other external agencies to obtain patient information, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
3. Entering appointments on Adastra for patients suitable to see a GP, coordinating follow-up appointments for A&E Review Clinic, and scanning appointments to appropriate departments.
4. Recording information for patients attending the department with disclosed NFA status and referring to the local authority if required.
5. Recording information for overseas patients attending the department.
Requirements include good all-round administration skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, customer service experience, and computer literacy. Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize work are essential to meet department targets.
