Role Overview
A global commodity trading firm are offering the opportunity for a Treasury Analyst to join their corporate Treasury function. The role focuses on managing foreign exchange and interest rate risk, while supporting broader Treasury operations and reporting. The successful candidate will work closely with Treasury colleagues and internal operational teams in a collaborative, solutions-driven setting.
Key Responsibilities of the Treasury Analyst:
Monitor and manage FX and interest rate exposures, ensuring appropriate hedging and oversight.
Provide input to trading teams on suitable FX hedging approaches.
Ensure internal risk and trading systems support effective FX exposure management.
Develop and enhance analysis and reporting tools using platforms such as Power BI and market data systems.
Maintain understanding of collateral agreements and margining processes.
Support periodic credit review processes with external counterparties and banking partners.
Contribute to Treasury reporting and communication across the wider business.
Deliver ad hoc financial and risk analysis as required.
Key Requirements of the Treasury Analyst:
Exposure to commodities is essential
Experience in FX and interest rate risk management.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify meaningful insights.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and market data tools; programming knowledge (e.g. Python) is advantageous.
