VOCATIONAL TUTOR

Hours: 8:15-4:45

We are working with an independent special school, catering for up to 40 pupils aged 11 to 19 with a range of social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. The school is currently looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Education Support Worker to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver high-quality lessons to effectively support pupils’ learning.
* Identify and coordinate suitable external providers for offsite activities or third-party collaborations, in agreement with the Headteacher.
* Set clear, achievable targets for pupils.
* Inspire confidence and motivate pupils.
* Serve as a positive role model for pupils.
* Promote and safeguard the welfare of all pupils.
* Participate in school events as required.
Essential Criteria:
* GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or equivalent.
* Understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN).
* Ability to design and deliver a progressive curriculum using diverse teaching methods.
* Ability to build positive relationships within the school community.
* Proficient in the use of ICT.
* Demonstrates professionalism at all times.
* Possesses high levels of patience and tolerance.

* Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (can be arranged via Teaching Personnel)
* Two most recent professional references covering the last 24 months
* Overseas Police Check if applicable (for candidates who have lived outside the UK for 6+ months in the past 5 years)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
