This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced law graduate, paralegal or similar to broaden their horizons and develop their career in a varied and interesting new role in a commercial environment.
We have manufacturing operations in the UK, Europe and Asia, with a global team of about 300 people and sales activity covering most of the world. We are the world’s leading maker of fine, scale model cars for the most prestigious and iconic Formula 1 teams and luxury car brands and provide our customers with a wide range of models from limited edition sculpts and miniatures to unique, large scale, one-off builds, as well as a range of other non-automotive model services.
The Role
Hours
Negotiable days and times, initially within a range of 20 - 25 hours per week worked across 4 or 5 days, Mon - Fri.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Legal and HR Director, this new role of Legal & HR Assistant will be varied and support a range of in-house legal and HR related functions of the business globally, including:
* All aspects of contract administration, drafting and reviewing a wide variety of UK and international commercial contracts and documentation
* Analyzing and summarizing contract terms for use by other departments
* Compliance support on relevant corporate and sectoral legislation and practices
* Assisting with the delivery of compliant HR and employment practices and documentation globally, with specific focus on the UK
* Maintaining UK HR records (c. 30 staff) and supporting the recruitment process as necessary
* Liaising with our international HR managers to collate and analyse information
* Research and monitoring of relevant legislation as required
* Supporting other departments on legal and HR issues
* Liaison externally and internally, both within the UK and internationally, by phone, email and in person as appropriate.

You will need to have the following skills and qualifications/experience
* Good understanding and experience of contracts and their administration
* Ability to conduct legal research, analyse and summarise information independently
* Experience of interpreting and applying researched information appropriately
* Good MS Office skills and experience (Word, Powerpoint, Excel)
* Relevant degree or post A-level qualification and/or experience in a legal assistant, paralegal or similar role
* Ideally, but not essential, experience/knowledge of a multinational corporate environment.
