Projects Manager - The Role:
Reporting directly to the board, you’ll take full ownership of multiple, large-scale automation projects, ensuring they’re delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, fabrication, and assembly to keep everything on track — from initial scheduling through to FAT (Factory Acceptance Test).
Key Responsibilities
Set and manage daily/weekly milestones across multiple active projects.
Plan resources effectively and monitor workloads to prevent bottlenecks.
Control project budgets and proactively manage any overruns.
Track and report KPIs, progress, and performance to senior leadership.
Lead regular stand-up meetings to ensure alignment and accountability.
Oversee workshop organisation, quality control, and process improvements.
Support FAT preparation, ensuring readiness for client visits and sign-offs.
Conduct performance reviews and manage a motivated, efficient team.
Promote continuous improvement through lessons learned and project reviews.
Projects Manager - The Person:
5+ years’ experience in project management, ideally within engineering or manufacturing.
Proven ability to manage multiple, complex bespoke projects concurrently.
Strong competence with Microsoft Project and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
Skilled in budget control, KPI management, and resource planning.
Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills.
Comfortable working under pressure and adapting to change.
Located in Gloucestershire, this role would be commutable from Cheltenham, Worcester, Gloucester and Evesham.
