Job Description: The Senior Logistics Operative role centres around accurate picking and managing goods-in throughput, while also supporting the full logistics operation (packing, loading, and housekeeping), as priorities demand. In addition to executing these tasks, the role requires a focus on actively driving process improvements, in order to increase the team’s speed, accuracy, and reliability.
Responsibilities:
· Plan daily picking, based on priorities and operational efficiency.
· Accurately execute picks.
· Identify and implement improvements to picking processes and workflows.
· Track and report dwell time for items on goods-in shelves.
· Process goods into ERP system.
· Identify root causes of delays, and implement process changes to eliminate bottlenecks.
· Build on recent improvements (labelling systems, digital processes, etc.), and drive further gains.
· Propose and implement process changes that improve accuracy, speed, or efficiency.
· Maintain stock room organisation.
· Follow and improve procedures for stock movements, documentation, and system accuracy.
· Support packing, loading, and unloading activities, as operational needs require.
· Maintain excellent housekeeping standards, particularly within the stores and packing areas.
· Intelligently adapt operational priorities during busy periods or resource constraints.
· Ensure safe working practices, particularly in physical handling activities.
· Conduct weekly maintenance checks of the company vehicles.
