Head of Languages, Literacy and Communication – Welsh
Salary: £32,731 – £51,942 (MPR2 – UPR3)

Responsibilities
* Lead the strategic provision and operational management of the AoLE, including Welsh (First Language and Second Language).
* Drive curriculum development and innovation, ensuring contemporary, high‑quality learning experiences across all key stages.
* Lead, mentor and support a dedicated team of teachers, fostering a culture of collaboration, teamwork and continuous improvement.
* Set and promote high expectations for all learners, inspiring them to develop their linguistic and communication skills to the fullest.
Qualifications & Requirements
Welsh language level – verbal: Level 5 (fluent). Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
DBS level: Enhanced with Barred List Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check required.
Leadership experience: Demonstrated experience in managing a language or literacy department, with strong classroom practice and a passion for developing communication as a core life skill.
