Job Title: Teaching Assistant or Higher Level Teaching Assistant
School: Seven Hills School (Part of Hexagon Care Services)
Location: Clevedon, North Somerset
Contract: Linked to Funding
Teaching Assistant Salary: £22,000 to £23,500 per annum
Higher Level TA Salary: £25,000 to £27,000 per annum (Essential criteria - NVQ level 3 teaching assistant qualification or relevant alternative associated to a TA qualification)
Hexagon Care Services are a leading provider of residential care and education across the country. Within the services we offer, we operate 15 small independent schools educating boys and girls between 11 and 18 years presenting with a range of complex needs.
Sevenhills School is a small SEMH school for girls that can support up to 12 pupils. The staff team currently comprises of a Headteacher, 3 teachers and 2 HTLA’s who follow student centred learning with an emphasis on mindfulness and wellbeing.
The school itself is a fully equipped bungalow in the seaside town of Clevedon. Seven Hills is a therapeutic school that has a tranquil environment that is able to provide all the necessary support for students. All students engage in lessons and activities.
Previous experience working as a teaching assistant/higher level teaching assistant is essential. If you have experience of supporting SEMH students or working in a secondary school this is advantageous but not essential. If you enjoy working with small pupil numbers, supporting with a mixture of academic and practical/vocational subjects and have share a passion for supporting young people we want to hear from you!

This is a permanent position, if you have right to work but with an expiry date, we are more than welcome to receive your application but please note you would only be eligible for an interim contract linked to your RTW expiry.
