Our growing client in Stevenage is seeking a dedicated Finance Assistant to join their team. This role is perfect for an organised individual proficient in Sage Line 50. Key Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant: Manage daily bookkeeping and ensure accurate financial record-keeping. Process daily bank payments and receipts. Oversee the sales ledger and manage debt collection, including communicating with customers to resolve payment issues and escalating overdue accounts. Manage the purchase ledger, including processing supplier invoices and monthly payment runs. Perform reconciliations for supplier, customer, and credit card accounts. Assist in preparing financial reports and statements. Review and correct anomalies in meter movements within the VMGR system. What We're Looking For: Minimum 5 years of experience using Sage Line 50. Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage). Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. Prior experience in a finance assistant or similar role.
