Internal Sales Engineer - Coolers, Refrigeration, Air Conditioning
Supporting the front-end sales team with technical and application support / knowledge, through joint customer visits, as well as detailed quotations and proposals for the front-end sales team.
Field and respond to customer requests through the internal sales process. To support business growth through delivering positive response rates and technical proficiency.
Responsibilities
* Advise customers on product application.
* Provide guidance to other Company departments on special products.
* Undertake such engineering activity which the Application Manager shall reasonably request.
* Assist in the appraisal of competitor’s products. Support or on occasion attend exhibitions as necessary.
* To offer for consideration by Senior Managers, ideas for the improvement of existing products or services and / or the introduction of new products
* Attend meetings, sales and engineering courses as required.
* Liaise with other members of the Sales and Customer Service Department.
* Prepare and arrange the despatch of quotations in accordance with the guidelines laid down by the Applications Manager.
* Design within the Company standard – deviations to be approved by the Engineering Department.
* Work using the computer systems provided.
* Travel and work outside normal hours from time to time.
* Occasional requirement to undertake site investigations.
Requirements
* To demonstrate a minimum 3-year history of work experience in the selection and application of equipment used in refrigeration and / or air conditioning industry.
* To have attained a recognised academic qualification to a minimum of HNC standard in refrigeration and / or air conditioning engineering.
* Good communication skills.
* Experience in a front-line customer services environment with a passion for customer service
* Ability to prioritise tasks especially when under pressure
* Ability to handle challenging and difficult conversations
* Ability to build relationships and gain trust with customers and colleagues
* Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
* Attention to detail
* Team player
* Enthusiastic and self-motivated
