About the Role
We have a vacancy for Associate Counsel in our Legal Contracts Team based in the UK. The role can be office-based in Cambridge, Glasgow, or Winchester, or fully home-based anywhere in the UK. It is a permanent, full-time position.

About the Position
The Associate Counsel Contracts provides legal advice, drafts, reviews, and negotiates agreements with minimal oversight, serving as the primary contact for assigned business units.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide legal advice and represent Thermo Fisher in legal matters.
* Draft, negotiate, and finalize agreements and related documentation.
* Assess legal risks, recommend mitigations, and advise senior management.
* Train colleagues on contract requirements and legal matters.
* Develop processes and improve departmental operations.
* Adhere to SOPs, WPDs, and regulations during project execution.
* Assist in other legal matters and customer disputes as needed.
Qualifications
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and advanced law degree (JD or equivalent). Approximately 2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent education, training, and experience.
Skills and Abilities
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
* Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks.
* Flexibility to reprioritize as needed.
* Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
* Strong English language and grammar skills.
* Analytical thinking and decision-making skills.
* Ability to draft and negotiate contracts independently and with oversight.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Risk identification and evaluation skills.
