Our client is looking for a skilled and motivated Small Tools Service Engineer to join their specialist team within a leading provider of mechanical, electrical, and low-level access equipment solutions across the UK in Bristol. This role offers the opportunity to work with high-quality tools and equipment that support the construction, fit-out, mechanical, and electrical industries.
As a Small Tools Service Engineer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring their equipment is safe, reliable, and maintained to the highest standard. Job Overview
* Carry out repairs and routine maintenance on small tools, light plant, and portable equipment in line with manufacturer specifications.
* Diagnose faults and perform corrective actions efficiently and accurately.
* Conduct basic electrical checks, including PAT testing and fault finding.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date service records.
* Support workshop organization to ensure tools and equipment are safe and compliant.
* Adhere to all relevant health and safety standards, including PUWER and LOLER regulations.
* Work collaboratively with the team while managing tasks independently.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in service quality and equipment care.
Job Requirements
* Experience in the servicing, maintenance, or repair of small tools, portable equipment, or similar machinery.
* Basic electrical knowledge, including fault diagnosis.
* Awareness of health and safety regulations.
* Strong communication skills and attention to detail in documentation.
* Productive, organized, and methodical approach to work.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Previous experience in a tool hire or plant hire environment.

* Salary: £25,000 - £29,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
