We are currently recruiting for a Head of Sales to join the Scotland & North East region.


Role Overview

As Head of Sales, reporting to the Regional Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing an effective regional sales strategy. This includes managing Business Development Managers & Internal Sales Managers, ensuring robust and consistent sales processes, and leading a motivated sales team to maximize revenue.


Candidate Profile

This role requires an experienced sales leader who can demonstrate leadership with passion, confidence, credibility, and focus. The ideal candidate will have proven success in managing regional sales teams, influencing senior management, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate strategic vision into action.

Additional Details

This role covers the Scotland & North East region, requiring frequent travel to depots.


Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain customer relationships to win business for Nationwide Platforms.
2. Identify and pursue opportunities for new lines of business and growth sectors.
3. Contribute to the team’s budget planning.
4. Manage a team of sector specialists, utilizing measurement tools to improve performance.
5. Oversee the regional sales team in managing key accounts.
6. Act as liaison between the UK Business Unit and BlueSky, addressing delivery, new products, and supply issues.
7. Negotiate and manage contracts at all levels.
8. Collaborate with other Nationwide Platforms functions to support business development.
9. Manage risks associated with key accounts.


Ideal Candidate

* Extensive experience in strategic sales management within plant and/or equipment hire environments.
* Excellent analytical skills and data-driven decision-making.
* Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
* Strong communication skills for all levels of stakeholders.
