About the role We’re excited to share a new opportunity at Slimming World’s Head Office in Alfreton for a Commercial Manager, who will be responsible for overseeing our Slimming World Kitchen recipe kit home delivery service. Reporting to the Director of Food, you'll have extensive experience in the food industry to help us shape the future vision for this service. As well as liaising with internal teams and managing a team of development chefs, you’ll work with our external service provider at a senior level, maintaining a strong relationship and overseeing end-to-end menu planning, recipe development and ingredient sourcing. You will use customer feedback and industry insights to innovate and enhance our offering to delight and satisfy our members, as well as introducing potential members to the Slimming World brand. About you… We’d love to hear from you if you: have proven experience of working within the food industry have strong operational experience and are confident in running daily operations and proactively resolving issues quickly are confident in managing commercial relationships with third parties, negotiating contracts and terms when required, with excellent commercial and financial acumen are skilled in influencing, challenging and building relationships across internal teams (Marketing and Finance for example), as well as external service providers such as Supply Chain, Technical and Culinary teams are a people leader with experience of building a team, managing performance and development of team members are a passionate foodie who stays up to date with technical and commercial developments in the food industry, and with the latest food trends have experience of recipe creation and development (and ideally you’ll be a keen cook yourself!) have excellent strategic skills, with the experience of planning, launching and developing new business initiatives and delivering exceptional results thrive within dynamic, forward-thinking and innovative teams demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills in all that you do, including presenting at board level can quickly build rapport, engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders at all levels. Some travel to our commercial partners will be required as part of this role, which may include overnight stays.
