* Founder entrepreneur-led businesses generating revenue between £10m-100m, and EBITDA of £1m+, with double-digit top-line growth
* Passionate leadership teams – people whose vision we can share and with whom we can develop a step-change growth plan that could take profits to £10 million+
* Best-in-class propositions within their sub-sectors that can compete globally, typically via channel and range expansion or buy & build
* Equity cheques range from £5m – £25m for a significant minority shareholding
Background to the role…
We are firmly in growth-mode, with the team scaling three fold in less than two years. We're now ready to bring on board another Investment Analyst in our Manchester office as we continue to ramp up.
We're looking for an intelligent, adaptable, and analytical individual who has a keen interest in the world of investment, and a passion for entrepreneurial consumer businesses and brands. This is an incredible opportunity for someone to fast-track their career in investment in a dynamic environment, alongside a highly experienced and friendly team of 12.
What you'll be doing:
* Driving identification and initial screening and appraisal of new investment opportunities.
* Managing pipeline of new investment opportunities.
* Investment appraisal, including supporting business valuation exercises, financial modelling, and Investment Memo preparation.
* Supporting market research into new ideas and business opportunities.
* Researching and preparing detailed case studies and discussion documents.
* Opportunity for further education via relevant qualifications.
You'll be:
* On track to achieve (or recently achieved) a 1st/2:1 from a Russell Group / other top tier university.
* Relevant work experience (internships, placements) not required but useful.
* Intelligent, adaptable, curious, creative, and confident.
* High work output and able to juggle multiple priorities.
* Have made impact in a particular area of interest such as volunteering, societies, or sports.
* Good judgement, and ability to make sense of ambiguity and complexity.
* Demonstrable interest in entrepreneurial consumer businesses, markets, and investments.
* Ambitious with great attitude toward learning.
* Have right to work in the UK.
