Overview
Lead Architect - Financial Wellbeing, Loans & Cards at Lloyds Banking Group. This role sits within the Personal Unsecured Lending team (Card, Loans and Financial Wellbeing Platforms) and is focused on driving the technology strategy and architecture for the Consumer Lending business area.
Responsibilities
* Propose the architectural strategy for Loans, Cards and Financial Wellbeing and manage its development and/or delivery, in line with the Technology strategy and the Consumer Lending strategy.
* Define architecture roadmaps, guardrails and patterns to drive medium- and long-term change that meets the needs of significant customers and often customised products and services.
* Combine business design, customer outcomes, understanding of Loans, Cards and Financial Wellbeing architecture, and Technology Strategy to achieve enterprise outcomes.
* Set the direction for change management in the platform to enable major change programmes, taking personal responsibility for a few business-critical projects.
* Define governing policies and participate in governance forums to ensure roadmaps, guardrails and patterns are adhered to, in line with Group and Technology strategies.
* Act as a business partner to board members and senior internal leaders to ensure technology delivers on business outcomes.
* Conduct external research to stay updated on industry best practices, applying this knowledge to business design activities to support corporate strategy.
* Lead a team of architects specialising in Personal Unsecured Lending to ensure architecture aligns with group and technology strategy.
What you need
* A proven track record in an Architect role, with demonstrated ability to drive architecture vision and strategy.
* Experience in governance, business control, solution development, and design.
* Technical knowledge of Public/Private Cloud, APIs, traditional hosting, and event-driven architectures.
* Architectural expertise including feasibility assessments and road-mapping.
* Strong communication, leadership, collaboration, and alignment with company values; ability to work with senior and junior colleagues and build strong relationships.
* Passion and energy, ownership of work/portfolio, and focus on delivering value to customers and clients.
* Gravitas and impact to operate at a director level with effective storytelling (written and verbal) in line with priorities.
