General Foreperson Location: Iver, Buckinghamshire We are currently seeking a General Foreperson to join our AMP8 Framework Team, working on site at Affinity Water’s Iver Water Treatment Works. The project involves construction of a new Rapid Gravity Treatment Plant, alongside associated works to upgrade the existing clean water treatment facility. In this role, you will play a key part in leading site operations, ensuring work is delivered safely, to specification, on programme and to the highest quality standards. Our Environment Division delivers end ‑ to ‑ end (“source to sea”) asset solutions across the UK and Scotland, working on both framework and standalone projects. Since AMP3, we have successfully delivered over £2bn of assets for clients including Yorkshire Water, United Utilities, Anglian Water, Thames Water, Southern Water, Welsh Water and Scottish Water. What you'll be doing: Promoting and maintaining a safe, healthy and inclusive site environment. Supervising and supporting the site team and supply chain on a day ‑ to ‑ day basis. Planning, coordinating and monitoring progress of allocated sections of work. Managing labour, plant and materials to meet programme and cost targets. Leading daily site activities and ensuring effective communication across teams. Ensuring all works (temporary and permanent) are delivered in line with design and quality requirements. Identifying and reporting any changes to scope, programme, design or commercial impacts. Raising and supporting the resolution of technical challenges as they arise. Carrying out regular health and safety inspections and promoting best practice. Ensuring RAMS, permits to work, site inductions and safety briefings are correctly implemented. Maintaining accurate site records, including detailed daily diaries. Monitoring capability and workload of operatives and contractors, escalating concerns where needed. Supporting the introduction of new processes, techniques and innovations on site. Providing regular progress updates to the Site Manager. About you: You will be someone who takes pride in leading by example and creating a positive site culture, while delivering complex work safely and efficiently. You will bring: A strong commitment to health, safety and wellbeing. Experience working in heavy civils and/or water industry environments. The ability to manage multiple work packages and interface with different disciplines. Confidence reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, programmes and technical information. Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively. Proven experience leading teams within a construction site environment.
