Associate Director | Energy & Utilities Sector

TSA Riley offers a rare opportunity for a strategic, delivery-focused professional to step into a newly created Associate Director role within our Energy and Utilities sector. This leadership position offers autonomy and the chance to build from the ground up.

We seek someone with a background in cost and/or project management, combining strategic thinking with ambition. You will own a target growth sector, identify opportunities, develop client relationships, and help shape a high-performing team.

Reporting to the Regional Director, you will lead strategic planning and project delivery, with scope to expand your role as the sector grows, both locally and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

* Business Development: Identify and secure new projects, develop relationships, and expand market presence.
* Team Management: Build and develop a dedicated team, foster a collaborative culture, and mentor staff.
* Project Delivery: Oversee projects to ensure timely, within-scope, and within-budget delivery, managing budgets and forecasts.
* Strategic Planning: Lead sector strategy, analyze market trends, and inform business decisions.


Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

* Proven leadership in cost or project management roles, at Associate Director level or similar.
* Extensive experience in consultancy, with strong client-facing skills.
* Deep sector knowledge in Utilities and/or Energy, with a strong professional network.
* Track record of winning new work and expanding client relationships.
* Excellent communication skills and stakeholder relationship management.
* Degree in Construction Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or similar.
* Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., CIOB, RICS).
* Experience across full project lifecycle duties in Project or Cost Management.
* Proven people management skills, with successful team development experience.
