Reporting to the MEP Construction Manager in the region, the key requirements include:
* 3rd level Building Services / Mechanical Engineering Degree and/or Trade background
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a site-based MEP role
* Strong ability to collaborate and work as part of a high-performance team
Key responsibilities:
* Ensure Mechanical activities are completed safely, prioritizing health and safety for all stakeholders
* Lead by example, communicate company-specific Health & Safety policies, and incorporate safety into all discussions
* Be aware of hazardous energies and site-specific management strategies (Lock Out Tag Out)
* Maintain full knowledge of project Mechanical systems and track installation to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules
* Understand project-specific commissioning requirements and assist in developing Commissioning Implementation Plans (CIPs)
* Conduct site inspections of Mechanical, BAS/BMS, MEP & CSA works to ensure compliance
* Coordinate that areas meet CSA and MEP quality standards for beneficial use, aligned with the construction program
* Provide stakeholders with sufficient information for system installation to ensure progress aligns with the master schedule
* Ensure contractors and vendors are adequately resourced to complete electrical activities efficiently
* Review the master construction schedule to identify opportunities and optimize sequencing for Mechanical and CSA work
* Chair and contribute to onsite and offsite meetings with project stakeholders
* Issue weekly progress and cost reports as required
* Manage subcontractor activities, track progress, and assess manpower levels
* Review and ensure production of necessary documents such as construction and commissioning programs, work trackers, risk assessments, and handover packs by system stakeholders
