The Governors of Gayhurst School wish to appoint an outstanding individual to the position of Head.
Gayhurst School is a co-educational, independent day school in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire with around 340 pupils aged 3 to 11. Gayhurst has a proud history combined with an enviable record of innovation. It prides itself on its high academic standards, excellent pastoral care and strong sense of family and community.
Gayhurst offers outstanding facilities on its 2-hectare site, including a new auditorium, sports hall and dance studio opened in 2025.
This appointment is a great opportunity for an existing or aspiring Head to make a lasting impact on the school. The new Head will embrace and personify the school's core values of enriching learning, developing resilience, independence and confidence.
Outstanding leadership and management skills, commercial understanding, excellent communication skills and resilience will be crucial. The successful applicant will be a strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement a compelling school vision. They will be highly visible and skilled at building strong teams and nurturing talent.
