Requirements
The ideal Mental Health Support Worker (School) must be enthusiastic, able to build rapport with students, resilient, flexible, and quick-thinking to adapt to challenging situations. Candidates should have relevant recent experience (within the last 2 years) with professional references, and ideally be trained in Team Teach — free training is available through Vision for Education.
The Role
This position involves supporting young people and children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health difficulties within a school setting in Wakefield. The role is initially on a daily supply basis with potential for a permanent contract after 12 weeks for suitable candidates. Candidates should be prepared to complete necessary training before starting. Hours are from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
