Van Pack Drainage Engineer
We are seeking a Van Pack Drainage Engineer to join our Utility Division, working on the Thames Water contract to deliver effective solutions to wastewater network and drainage problems.

4 On 4 Off, average 40.25 hours per week (including early and late shifts)
Salary
OTE £37,000 per annum, comprising basic pay, overtime, on‑call allowance and bonuses

Responsibilities
* Travel to residential sites in a van to power a high‑pressure water jet for restoration
* Clean, clear and maintain drainage systems
* Record each job report correctly on the specialist equipment provided
* Run diagnostics and repairs on drains
* Deliver excellent customer service
* Maintain good health and safety practice while carrying out works
* Ensure vehicle stock is full and replenished
* Comply with health and safety responsibilities, including PPE, safe site set‑ups and protection of staff, the public and other road users
* Utilise VISTEC and Salesforce platforms
* Work unsupervised in all weather conditions, wearing correct PPE and utilising the lone worker system
* Dynamically risk assess site access and working conditions based on specific circumstances on arrival
* Liaise with the client regarding process and any updates
* Provide support to colleagues
* Conduct thorough inspections of tools, equipment and plant before and after use
* Report any defects or malfunctions
* Carry out risk assessments and adopt a mature approach to risk perception
* Be aware of all Lanes Group policies and your responsibilities towards them
* Carry out any other reasonable ad‑hoc tasks, duties or projects as requested by management

About You
The ideal candidate will be hardworking, respectful and compliant with health and safety standards. Experience in the use of high‑pressure jetting equipment is useful but not essential. Other drainage qualifications (e.g. NRSWA and Confined Spaces) are an advantage. You must hold a full UK driver’s licence as our vehicles are all manual.
