We're now looking for a Transport First Line Manager to support our daily transport operations by leading a team of drivers.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
* To supervise, implement and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames, while always maintaining standards of excellence
* Ensure drivers are legal and compliant on a daily and weekly basis and ensure clear communication between all functions within the transport department and the warehouse team
* To lead the work activities of the drivers and the transport clerical team, providing effective leadership, communication, motivation, training and development
* Carrying out HR Management tasks such as staff reviews, appraisals, absence management and disciplinaries.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
* Must have people management experience within transport
* Must have experience working within a transport office / supply chain environment
* Experience working within a unionised environment
* Computer literate - must have Microsoft Office experience. Experience using Tachomaster is desirable
* Adapts well to change and change process
