Job Description: Legal Secretary
We are looking to appoint a Legal Secretary for our busy Private Client and Family Department.
The Role
You will be responsible for assisting both departments with the following tasks:-
* opening and closing files;
* dealing with initial enquires and making appointments;
* dictation;
* drafting some legal forms with guidance/instructions;
* standard letters;
* carrying out AML checks;
* engrossing documents for signing;
* preparation of court bundles;
* dealing with filing of court forms using online portal systems;
* making and receiving telephone calls;
* Paper and online filing and storage of documents;
* Photocopying and some other general office duties.
Experience would be preferred but not strictly necessary as full training can be given.
Person Specification
* Excellent Computer literacy skills and ability to learn data entry in Solicitors Own Software (SOS) database;
* Excellent communications skills and attention to detail;
* The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Job Type: Full-time although part-time working may be considered for the right candidate.
