Job summary

We have an opportunity for a Consultant Applied Psychologist (8C) to work into Change Grow Live (CGL) who offer the drug and alcohol service into Stockton. We are looking for an organised, creative psychologist who wants to use their psychological skills in a variety of ways. It is for a fixed term contract for 6 months based in Stockton for 37.5 hours a week.

The main aims of the role are to:

Review the current psychology provision within the wider context to meet the psychological needs of service users and report on this with clear recommendations.

Provide some direct service delivery

Work in tantum with TEWV stockton hub team

To provide leadership and supervision to the psychological professions.

Provide expert psychological advice, guidance and consultation to other staff contributing directly to client's diagnosis, formulation and intervention plan.

1. You will be required to be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Practitioner Psychologist. The Trust is committed to providing support and supervision for continuing professional development and we have an excellent track record for developing our psychology workforce.

Qualifications

Essential

2. Post-graduate training (doctoral level equivalent) in clinical / counselling / forensic psychology (or its equivalent prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS.
3. HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist
4. Post-doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice
5. Trained in clinical supervision and the supervision of doctoral trainees
6. Trained in care co-ordination
7. Evidence of continuing professional development

16. Must have substantial experience of: Working as a qualified applied psychologist within the designated service including a wide variety of client groups, across the whole life course and full range of clinical severity across the full range of care settings
17. Exercising full clinical responsibility for clients' psychological care as a care co-ordinator and leader of a multidisciplinary team
18. Liaison and joint working with statutory, voluntary and private sector agencies
19. Teaching, training, clinical supervision and field supervisor for doctoral theses
20. Research and development
21. Project management of quality and service improvement initiatives
22. Must have experience of: Providing clinical and professional leadership to other qualified and non-qualified members of the profession
23. Managing multi-agency service delivery models
