We are looking for a qualified senior playworker (level 2 or 3) to join our welcoming and supportive team, working with children aged 4-11 years in a vibrant, play-based setting.
About the Role:
This position is available immediately and includes:
* Term time: After School Club - 2:45pm to 6:00pm
* Holiday Club: Around 30 hours per week - 7.15am-6pm
As Senior Playworker, you will support the manager in the day-to day running of the club, ensuring high standards of care, safety and engagement. You will help plan and deliver stimulating activities, support children in building confidence and independence, and help create a fun, safe and inclusive environment for all.
We're looking for someone who:
* Holds a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Playwork, Childcare or Early Years
* Is enthusiastic, motivated and passionate about working with children
* Has experience of working with children aged years
* Has experience supporting or supervising staff, or is ready to step into a leadership role
* Can contribute to EYFS observations, assessments, and planning
* Enjoys getting involved in crafts, games, outdoor play and creative activities
* Can help maintain a safe, caring and inclusive environment
* Is a strong team player with excellent communication and organisational skills
Ideally, you will have:
* An NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in a childcare-related subject (training can be provided)
* A valid Paediatric First Aid and Food Hygiene Certificate (training available)
* Experience working with early years or primary aged children
