We currently have a requirement for a Workshop Technician to work in our accessories department within Gas Turbines.
The Workshop Technician will be responsible for overhaul, test and recertification of products allocated to them by their supervisor to the highest possible standard.
Primary responsibilities
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards and work instructions.
Overhaul, test and recertification of multiple products within the turbine accessories department.
Use of all torque equipment.
Provide technical support to all members of the department / team.
Ensure all workshop equipment and tooling are maintained regularly and all records are kept up to date.
Responsible for the general house-keeping within and surrounding the department.
Participate in shift rotas as and when required.
Support other workshops where priority dictates.
Participate in risk assessments / toolbox talks / the vital system.
Adhere to Health, Safety and Quality duties.
Qualifications and Experience
SVQ Level 3 in relevant technical discipline (preferred)
Completed an engineering apprenticeship (preferred)
Demonstrable experience within a mechanical engineering workshop environment.
