The Opportunity
A leading engineering and construction organisation is seeking an Estimator to play a key role in securing major projects by delivering robust and competitive cost estimates.

Estimator, Senior Estimator, Cost Engineer, Commercial Estimator, Bid Estimator, Pre-Construction Estimator, Project Estimator, Quantity Surveyor (pre-contract), Cost Planner, Tendering Engineer
Your duties and responsibilities will be
Produce detailed cost estimates for tenders, ensuring pricing is competitive, accurate, and aligned with project requirements
Work closely with bid teams, planners, procurement, and technical specialists to develop cost-effective solutions and methodologies
Build up pricing for labour, plant, materials, subcontract packages, and preliminaries using market insight and supplier engagement
Contribute to risk and opportunity assessments, supporting robust tender submissions and commercial decision-making
Compile final pricing documentation, present cost breakdowns at internal reviews, and support post-tender clarifications and handoversYou will have the following qualifications and experience
Proven experience in estimating within construction or civil engineering projects
Strong understanding of construction methods, procurement practices, and contract forms
Ability to interpret technical information and translate it into accurate cost plans
Experience using estimating software and producing detailed cost models
Commercial awareness with a methodical approach to analysing risk, value, and cost driversGet in touch now
