Overview:
We are working with a global business supporting leading vehicle brands. The business is seeking an Interim Financial Controller to manage the plant's financial activities, drive performance, and ensure regulatory compliance during a key period of transformation.
The successful candidate will lead the site finance team, ensure rigorous SOX compliance, and support operational reporting, budgeting, and performance analysis. This interim role offers the chance to drive process improvements and support critical business decisions during a key transition period.
Job Description:
1. Lead finance team, managing objectives and development for direct reports
2. Oversee month-end close, corporate/internal reporting, and budget/forecast cycles
3. Ensure SOX compliance via internal controls, reviews, and presentation
4. Drive continuous improvement of financial and operational processes
5. Full responsibility for cash flow forecasting, monitoring, and reporting
6. Manage key KPIs, including AR/AP aging and plant performance metrics
7. Conduct profitability and variance analysis, warranty provisions, and headcount reviews
8. Support stock-takes, external audit processes, and year-end/interim accounts
9. Mentor and develop team to support succession planning
10. Perform ad hoc finance and operational tasks as needed
Essential Requirements:
11. Previous experience as a Financial Controller.
12. Experience in a high volume production, automotive, manufacturing or logistics environment.
13. Demonstrated ability to manage, mentor, and develop direct reports within a finance function.
14. Solid understanding of SOX compliance and internal controls.
15. Strong analytical, reporting, and problem solving skills with proficiency in relevant finance systems.
16. Track record of driving process improvements and supporting operational teams.
17. Availabile immediatley to start an interim assignment.
