If so this is an exciting opportunity to join Newport City Council's Residential Service. Bridge View is a newly renovated and bedroom house situated in Portskewett. Our team at Bridge View will provide care for children with additional needs in a residential settings and also provide short breaks for families that can support and strengthen families whilst offering individuals with additional needs meaningful lives within the community and overnight stays within a home from home environment. Bridge View works in partnership with families and caregivers of individuals with additional needs The home is supported by training for Intensive Positive Behavior Support (iPBS) which allows us to support each individual child to provide the best outcomes and opportunities for their health, well-being and development. We are looking for highly motivated, flexible, and enthusiastic individuals to join our team to share our team's belief that young people can grow and develop if they are nurtured and cared for. At Bridge View we pride ourselves on being a caring and knowledgeable team who nurture young people by providing the right care which meets the individual needs of each young person. Experience of working with children would be preferable but we also recognise that individuals come with a wide range of experiences and transferable skills and so it is not essential. We offer an excellent induction and training package which includes supporting you to attain a level 3 qualification in working with Children and Young people. The current vacancies are full time posts and you will complete a shift pattern comprising of 15 hours a day 7am until 10pm. You will work on a pattern of 1 day on and 2 days off and will need to cover sleep ins as and when required.
