SEND Teaching Assistant (Permanent)

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Wellingborough on a permanent basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pupils with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs)
* Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
* Support pupils’ emotional, social, and behavioural development
* Help implement Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
* Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Requirements
* Experience working with children with SEND (in a school or care setting)
* Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant) desirable but not essential
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
