Deputy Manager (Residential Children’s Service) – Oxfordshire Temp to Perm | Up to £20.00 per hour | Full-Time Role Overview We are recruiting for an experienced and motivated Deputy Manager to join a residential children’s service in Oxfordshire on a temp-to-perm basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Residential Support Worker or experienced practitioner ready to step into a leadership role, supporting children and young people with autism and learning differences in a safe, nurturing environment. You will play a key role in supporting the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, and positive outcomes for young people. Key Responsibilities Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day management of the service Lead shifts and provide guidance and supervision to staff Deliver high-quality, person-centred care and support Ensure care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures are followed Support children and young people with daily routines, independence, and life skills Contribute to staff development, mentoring, and team performance Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards Promote a safe, stable, and positive environment for young people What We’re Looking For Experience working in residential childcare or similar settings Previous senior or leadership experience (or ready to step up) Understanding of autism, learning differences, and complex needs Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection A calm, resilient, and supportive leadership style Flexibility to work full-time shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins Level 3 qualification (or working towards) in Children & Young People (desirable) DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one What’s on Offer Temp-to-perm opportunity with long-term progression Competitive pay up to £20.00 per hour Ongoing training and development Supportive and experienced management team A rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference About Completely Care Completely Care is a specialist recruitment agency supporting the health & social care, education, and childcare sectors.
