We are proud to be partnering with a specialist independent school in Newark that supports pupils aged 4-16 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and associated needs. We're currently seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. Your Role Will Include:
* Providing support across a range of subjects and developmental stages
* Delivering pre-planned lessons and interventions under the guidance of the teaching team
* Offering one-to-one and small group support, tailored to individual needs
* Promoting emotional wellbeing, social development, and communication skills
* Recording pupil progress and engagement on a daily basis
* Encouraging independence and supporting personal care when required
* Applying positive behaviour strategies and promoting an inclusive classroom culture
What We're Looking For:
* Proven experience supporting children or young people with special educational needs (essential)
* A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or Level 3 in Child Development (desirable)
* A calm, patient, and nurturing approach to behaviour and learning
* Confidence in managing a variety of needs and communicating effectively with pupils
* A current enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
