The Role
As a Trainee Manager, you will support your Store Manager in driving sales and managing daily store operations. You’ll ensure an exceptional customer experience and high operational standards while supporting and developing junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support your Store Manager in daily operations and performance management.
* Drive sales and optimise KPI performance.
* Deliver outstanding customer service to foster loyalty and repeat business.
* Offer personalized VIP concierge services, including updates on products and tastings.
* Promote product knowledge through tastings and storytelling.
* Assist in recruitment, management, and development of team members.
* Support team members' training and development, including WSET qualifications.
* Maintain store appearance and ensure compliance with safety and legal standards.
* Identify operational improvements continually.
* Support internal communications and updates.
Knowledge & Skills Required:
* Experience in fast-paced retail or hospitality environments.
* Exceptional customer service skills.
* Understanding of retail KPIs and performance improvement.
* Ability to prioritise and solve problems strategically.
* Self-motivated with a proactive attitude.
* Excellent communication and time management skills.
* WSET Level 2 (desirable), willingness to pursue WSET Level 3.
* Full UK/EU/EEA driving license with no more than 6 penalty points.
