We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to play a key role as part of our dynamic sales team, and contribute to our Company’s sales strategy and drive objectives. The Business Development Manager’s key objective is to drive profitable sales growth of the Coram House of Brands, within their defined territory, along with the other business objectives of the business.
The customer base consists of Retail Showrooms and Merchants, specifiers & designers. Building strong business partnerships and understanding customer needs is vital to develop customer plans and propositions but so is seeking out and building new sales opportunities.
Understanding and managing the influence each customer type can have on the choice of brand and product used on a project is also key to success.
Communication, attention to detail and effective selling skills are also essential for this position.
Key areas of responsibility will include but not exhaustive:
* Achieve territory business targets. The territory consists of the following postcodes : London – W,N,NW,E,NE, and postcodes: UB, HP, HA,WD, LU, MK,AL,SG, EN, IG,RM,SS,CM,CO
* Build a territory sales plan with key actions and activities to achieve the territory business targets
* Analyse customer sales performance to identify product opportunities or corrective actions
* Negotiate with customers on pricing and terms within company guidelines
* Create account plans for the top 15 customers to maximize sales
* Provide sales forecasting information to ensure continuity of supply to customers
* Provide customer technical support as required and liaise with technical team on larger requirements
